Which QuickBooks Online version is the best for you in 2022

Which QuickBooks Online version is the best for you in 2022? This article will compare and contrast each of the following: Small Business, Premier Edition, and Enterprise. I’ll also talk about my favorite features for each of these services as well as any drawbacks I see. Finally, I’ll discuss my overall recommendation on which one to choose based on your individual business needs. All of this information will help you make an informed decision when you decide to upgrade or switch from your current version of QuickBooks Online to one of these other versions in 2022. Let’s get started!

The FREE version

If your company has less than 25 employees or less than $100,000 in yearly revenue, then QuickBooks Free is likely perfect for your business. With this version, you will have access to basic accounting functions including the ability to create invoices and track expenses.

However, if your company is at the threshold of $100k revenue or more, then Pro is likely a better option with its unlimited invoicing capacity and automatic data backups. Pro also includes such features as enhanced reporting capabilities and other accounting tasks such as mileage tracking.

For small businesses who are just starting out on their journey with Quickbooks or who do not plan on taking on too many transactions then Basic may be the right answer. It’s still an effective tool for budgeting, customer tracking, and supplier management. In addition, it comes free of charge!

The Standard account is another good option for companies that want some extras but don’t want to break the bank on a monthly fee. It gives users some additional benefits such as customizable billing templates and expense reports.

The Plus version

Every small business owner needs a system to stay organized and on top of things. The Plus edition from Quicken’s QuickBooks Online product suite helps them do just that. Using its modules, entrepreneurs can keep track of all the books they’ve read, see how many copies they’ve sold, and estimate their profits and losses. What sets this product apart from others is its simplicity: users will be able to launch their books with just a few clicks of a mouse. In addition, it comes with unlimited access to customer support which means that if anything goes wrong, there is someone who has your back at any time of the day. The problem with this product is that it doesn’t have an offline mode; which may not be ideal for those times when the internet connection isn’t available or stable.

The Premier version

Quickbooks Premier offers several options for billing and pay periods as well as more customizable invoices. Small businesses also have access to more built-in templates and reports with this subscription level. The storage limit may be a downside if your company needs to store large quantities of data, but it’s perfect if your accounting needs are limited. It’s a great choice for any small business owner who wants to easily track invoices, sales, or expenses but doesn’t need the Enterprise’s additional features. However, it’s not the best option for freelancers or self-employed professionals looking to do their own taxes. While these users can use QuickBooks to run their finances, they’ll need to find an outside service for tax prep.

What if you’re just starting out? Well, then the Essentials plan could be a better fit. For $10 per month on top of your regular payments, you get unlimited invoices and customers—which is perfect when there are so many unknowns in those early days!

On the other hand, if time tracking has been frustrating and has required lots of manual effort on your end because of errors with manual spreadsheets or time cards that have been forgotten about until they’ve gone stale, then maybe it’s time to upgrade from Essentials.

The Enterprise version

With all its features, it’s easy to see why the Enterprise Version of QuickBooks was voted by our readers as their favorite. It has everything that someone starting a business could need, from payroll to inventory management, this one does it all. The only downfall with this package is that it starts at $1500 per year and has a minimum 3-year contract. For the right person or company, this is worth every penny. Especially when they offer up discounts if you’re already using some of Intuit’s other products like Quicken or TurboTax. However, if you don’t want to commit to a three-year term, then they have plans that start at just $2.00 per month which still have some great features but not quite as much storage space and overall power as the enterprise plan. There are also monthly trials available so you can get your feet wet before making the decision. If money isn’t an issue, and you really want those awesome bells and whistles (or maybe your company needs them), then this is the best choice for most people.
