1) I am very creative

2) Writing has always been my hobby

Some people look at it as a way to express their creativity while others just like doing it. The good thing about writing is that it can be done anywhere, anytime. When I’m bored and don’t want to leave the house or go anywhere, I just take my laptop with me and find a place to sit in my house where I can be productive.

3) I started at 18 years old (in 2013)

I was enrolled in college when I heard about this app called Task Rabbit. It took a few hours to build my profile and start accepting tasks, but before I knew it I was making $1000 on weekends doing data entry and stuffing envelopes. Even though that work got tiring quickly, I kept doing it because the money was great for someone who barely had any bills.

4) I write novels in both English and Tagalog languages

6) In college, I studied Literature, Creative Writing & Journalism, but all the while, I didn’t think writing will become my job.

I studied Literature, Creative Writing & Journalism in college but never thought I would make a career out of writing. Instead, I always thought I’ll be an English teacher like my dad who had a Ph.D in English Literature. But one fateful encounter with Grazia Philippines fashion editor-in-chief and judge on America’s Next Top Model, Claire Sulmers led me to be given the opportunity to write for them as a freelance writer from 2013 – 2014.

7) My debut novel The Book Collector was published in October 2017 (World Literary Day)

I am a new author. I wrote my debut novel, The Book Collector because I believe in the power of books and reading. I found inspiration for the book’s plot after watching one of my favorite Korean Dramas: The Heirs 《The 키스 대작전》 (Kiss, Love & Play: Game On!) in which chaebol Park Yoochun falls in love with small town librarian Kim Tan.
